No not at all. Even the budget tented camps exceed clients expectations. The most popular are the Authentic Safari camps which have a high level of comfort whilst the luxury camps are more like a mobile lodge.
What spending money do I need?
Whilst on safari you need no money at all which makes your whole trip very cost effective. On safari we cater for all your meals and cool drinks. The only thing you may need to pay for are your alcoholic beverages, curios, gratuities and maybe the odd meal out. However, you can change travellers cheques at banks and use forex, USD and £ sterling.

What are the campsites like?
Whilst camping we use HATAB Camp Sites which are exclusive to the operators. They are eco-camps which means no sign of a camp must be left o departures. They are set with shade, near water and close to game, in the wild. We do not use public campsites.
Can children go on safari?
A family safaris can be arranged with children usually over the age of 8. However please note that its more about the child than the age. Obviously there are dangers involved with rules to follow and also the medical side needs to be addressed.
We recommend that families book a private safari so the safari can go at the families pace. Operators are introducing activities for children on safari so they are kept active.
